Its been almost a week since Lebron’s decision to go to Miami was made public. Since then he has taken mucho heat for it.
Everyone knows the NBA is a business, and business is cut-throat. I can only think of a few NBA teams where the owner seems to truly value his player’s well being over the franchise’s bottom line- the money.
A perfect example is shown in the Cav’s owner and his letter to Lebron for the decision Lebron made.
@DwightHoward couldn’t have said it any better.
Many say “Lebron waited too long to voice his decision” but sometimes we don’t know what we want until the last minute. Some sympathy goes out to the fact that the Cavs didn’t get to move like they would’ve had they known Lebron was leaving. I don’t think Lebron intentionally hurt the Cavs.
What Lebron did was totally fine. Even though David Stern has a different opinion, the TV event was fine, and him going to Miami is fine………especially given I’m a huge Miami/ Wade fan.
Shout out to Lebron for doing what he wanted to do but does he deserve this harsh criticism? Can the Heat win a Championship in 2010? Did the Cav’s owner deserve the 100k fine?
Nobody can predict the future, but one thing most fans can agree upon- the Heat get a ring before the Cavs!
